Families registering for 3 five full day camps in July or August will pay only$148 for the entire month after affordability grants.
How it works:
Families register and pay in advance for 3 full day camps in a month (July or August or both).
At the end of July or August, subject to families not withdrawing from camps, affordability grants are reimbursed. Children can attend a flexible schedule- the entire day 8-4:30 or part of the day 9-3, or mostly 8-1. Attendance hours during the day will only impact subsidies- not affordability grants provided no withdrawal notice has been submitted during the course of the summer term.
Camp Tuition after Affordability Grants based on Camp Combinations:
-Any 3 weeks (full day camps only) between July 8-August 2: $148 for the month of July!
-August 6-23 (3 weeks full day camps total including a short week): $96 for the month of August!
Our availability is limited however we will open more camp classes based on enough interest.
Join in the fun this summer!

Hello Everyone! These are this weeks important reminders:
The Take Home Reading program begins this week. Students will be sent home with a book bag and book each week. We ask that parents return the book/bag each Thursday/Friday so that students can receive a new book. There is a pamphlet inside the book bags with more information!
March 21st is our last day of classes and our Spring break begins March 22nd.
Our Winterfest is this Thursday and Friday.
Hot Lunch forms are being distributed for hot lunch day next week March 20 & 21. If your family has not yet received one kindly ask your child's teacher for a copy.
Dear Parents, as requested, we are providing an information sheet of the measures for the executive function testing. We are only testing 4 year olds at this time (and some 3.5 year olds we believe may be ready). Please visit our curriculum tab to read the information sheet for more details ;-).

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the first week of March! Here are your important reminders for this week.
Hot lunch will be this month on March 20th & 21st. We will be having Mac & Cheese! We will let families know when the order forms are ready for distribution.
We enjoyed having our author in residence come in and share with us his book. The kids enjoyed learning he was the author and the illustrator.
We look forward to nicer weather coming but please remember to send appropriate clothing so we can get outside and play whenever the weather is warmer than minus 10.
We look forward to enjoying winter fest on March 14th and 15th at our campus as we travel across Canada. Parents with a valid police clearance submitted with us are welcome to volunteer please let us know if you want to do this.
SPRING BREAK - last day of classes is on March 21st and our spring break begins on March 22nd until April 1st. Classes resume on April 2nd.
Thank you to all parents who have signed up so far for the executive function testing. It is geared for children ages 4 and up, however we will assess 3.5 year olds and up as some of Kinderhouse friends are ready. Some of our Littles complete the various assessment components in one sitting while other children do not. We intend on having all scores provided to families by the end of April.
In the coming week we will provide families a synopsis of each of the executive function assessment components and a summary of what is measured and what it means for children. We will also provide a summary of activities families can do at home.

Hello Everyone! Welcome to our last week in February. This weeks important reminder are the following:
Executive function testing is available measuring cognitive flexibility, working memory across auditory and visual processing, and inhibitory control. Children will explore a game that they complete in about 3 minutes on an iPad which scores their responses. Kindly sign up on our app under the folder “executive function.” Results will be shared with parents.
Our newest edition of our school magazine is ready under our Magazine tab. We aim to continually provide early childhood development topics and authors to support our families with ideas and topics of relevance.
The weather continues to change from sunny to rainy and snowy, and so we ask parents to send their little ones dressed in appropriate attire for each day.
February 27th & 28th is Pink Shirt Day and signifies creating awareness against bullying. This is a great opportunity to teach our little ones about building and nurturing positive relationships with others.
Author is Residence is today Monday and Tuesday, February 27th.
This month was literacy month and we are arriving at its conclusion. Reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. Like Dr Seuss said “The more you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you will go.” Reading opens up a world to children like nothing else can, so honour those moments of sharing a book or a story with your child. It is more valuable and precious than you can even imagine.

Here are your reminders for this week:
Daniel Derksen is our Author in Residence on February 26-27.
As a mom of 3 teenagers, I still get anxious about their first day. Will they find their classes? What will their friend group look like? It's important to talk to your child about how they are feeling, so you can "unpack" their emotions with them. If they are nervous, anxious, or scared, why are they feeling these emotions? By finding out more information, we can often help answer their questions and calm their worries. Let's celebrate the other side of their emotions- excitement, happiness, curiosity. It is also important to ask your child what they are looking forward to about school, or are curious about.
Having these conversations days before school and throughout the school year will help your child understand and cope with their mixed emotions. Setting routines and communicating with your child about what the first day of school will look like at home (who is dropping them off, who will be picking them up, what they will be wearing) is also important as this will help them to understand what to expect. Kids love routines!
