Hello,

Since I escaped 21 years of abuse in 2013, I have continued to heal and grow as the person I was born to be. It is still sometimes difficult to share my story. I much rather talk about how I got through and out of it. I, however understand that my story must be shared to let others know that I have worn a similar pair of shoes at one very long point in my life, but that I also escaped and began a whole new life.

I hope The Slipout App continues to reach the entire world and especially those who are being abused or feel stuck in toxic environments that don't see a way out. My mission is to help turn the ugliest part of your story into the most powerful part of your testimony.

Detailing exactly how I escaped with my life is desperately needed to fill the void within a unique group of individuals. Visitors will find extremely personal and matter-of-fact information that shows that they are not alone.

As a survivor, I find strength and healing in telling my story. By using this app, visitors will learn how I survived and be able to adjust those tips to fit his or her individual situation.

The escape is only the first step. Healing is painful and does not come overnight. I did not get here alone. I've gained an amazing support system in the past seven years and been in counseling off and on as needed. It is OK to ask got help.

This must-have app is for any man or woman who may find himself or herself in any kind of abusive relationship. Abuse is not always black and blue. Just because there are no black eyes, broken bones, or bloody lips does not mean there is no abuse.

Together we can help change the narrative surrounding domestic violence!! Thank you for every download and share. Because of you, to date this app has been downloaded more than 20,000 times in 93 countries since 9.25.2020.
