DAILY WALK

Good Morning, I am very sorry for the sound problems for much of Brother Dallas's message last evening. Short of a bad piece of equipment I have no explanation but we will work to correct the issue. Great services though and again I apologize for the frustration you felt trying to hear when we had no sound going out. Our reading for today is Jeremiah 45 and Colossians 3. Jeremiah is the one God is speaking to but Baruch is the amuensis that is writing down the words. What is Baruch to think as he writes of God's judgment for the people turning away to self-interest and not serving their God? Baruch is troubled as he hears of the coming judgment of Judah that has gone in the way of self-interest and ignored their God. Look at verses 4 and 5 and place yourself as the writer of the coming destruction and you are worried about yourself. Remember the message is we are redeemed to serve God and not ourselves. I find it interesting how often this year our Old Testament reading would go into a New Testament condemnation of the same thing. Read carefully Colossians 3 and measure your life, not your neighbor's life, by the things that are written. Look at the closing verses of this chapter and apply the Word from God to ourselves. Verse 25 rings out from the judgment of God for Israel and states that God is no respecter of persons. Can we do the same things Judah did and think God will overlook our direction when He did not overlook His people Judah?

Pray one for the other
