DAILY WALK
Good Morning, our reading today is Jeremiah 12 and I Corinthians 15. The Queen of Heaven was worshipped as a Semitic deity and in Babylon she was called Ishtar (Venus). There is so much eastern religion in America and since little is taught about these deities we are not aware when they are being mixed with Christianity. Watch out for Halloween this year for it has become a major player in the retail trade and our children are so excited about the costumes. On the way to church from my house there is a yard that is wholly given to Halloween decor. I have never been bothered with this day but I am concerned with the gorry shows being shown around this time and the program the living dead. Keep your children involved with other interests if you can. Is our God a consuming fire as described in Hebrews 12:28,29? Is He all love as some portray Him or is Psalm 7:11 really a picture of God's wrath and what about verse 5 in Jeremiah 12? I am so sorry if preaching the whole counsel of God is upsetting to some. Verse 10 shows my colleagues in the ministry and how some so called Bible believers flock to them but look at the picture God paints of those that have destroyed his vineyard. Look at verses 16 and 17. In I Corinthians 15 we have the definition of salvation, the assurance of the resurrection of the body. Jesus by rising from the dead is the first-fruits and the promise of the home-gathering of God's people. Read verses 51-58 carefully.
Pray one for the other
