DAILY WALK
Good Morning, have you ever noticed how a coach or a star player can be loved and hated over a few plays? Fire the coach and get rid of the quarterback. Winning is everything and losing can bring the greatest protests. Jeremiah in chapter 11 is facing the changing of popularity as he shouts out tht Judah has broken the Palestinian covenant. It was a covenant that stated if the people kept their part God would keep His but Judah had followed the ten tribes and were worshipping idols. Jeremiah declares the judgment of God and now Jeremiah's own people are plotting to kill him. Obviously, people do not like to be reminded of promises made to God when they have broken them. Today we read Jeremiah 11 and I Corinthians 14. In Chapter 14 we have Paul encouraging the people to seek gifts that promote spiritual growth. A gift that makes personal pride and does not help the church is divisive and carnal rather than healing and promoting growth. Love is certainly always needed but unknown tongues are for personal importance but not helpful to the others in the church.Teaching is always to be sought as it builds the Christian to live Godly. Look at the instruction in verses 39 and 40.
Pray one for another
