DAILY WALK
Good Morning. our reading today is Jeremiah 8 and I Corinthians 11. Jeremiah the prophet can only speak that which God has given him to say and because of the idolatry found in Judah the words of comfort are few and far between. In our day Jeremiah would not have many to listen to him for we seek easy words of peace and prosperity. It was probably so in Judah as Jeremiah spoke the truth to people that would have peace when war was heard from the pounding of the horse's hoofs. The great message in this chapter is the question spoken from verses 12 to the end of the chapter. Look at verse 12. No shame for their great sins and they lost their blush. You might underline verses 12-14 and also verse 22. In I Corinthians 11, we have a direction for God's divine order. While I would not ask that you spend all day on tis chapter I do believe it is one that is important for the believer to mark God's emphasis. You might think we are straining at the gnat but I wonder why God makes mention of things that cause us to be argumentative. The early church gave importance to the Lord's supper which surely is missing in our day. These baby Christians are given meat to eat that would cause stomach disorders in our day.
Pray one for the other.
