DAILY WALK

Good Morning, Brother Kendrick to open up with us Sunday. Our reading today will be Isaiah 57 and Romans 10. You probably have not read Isaiah 57 in the context that is spoken in verse 1 . Sunday night I was handed an article that was written by George Seville. I had referenced in a sermon that often preachers interject the phrase "bless God" in a manner that actually takes the Lord's Name in vain. This saying is in the commonly used minced oaths that according to the Westminister Shorter Catechism asks, "What is required in the third commandment? The third commandment requireth the holy and reverent use of God's name, titles, attributes, ordinances, words and works." It could be in our speech and actions we are sinning without even knowing it. I would underline verses 16-21. In Romans 10 we have several verses used in what is referred to as the Romans Road to Salvation. I would underline verses 9-13. Verse 17 is a good verse to memorize and then I would look carefully at verses 18-21. In our day the leanness of knowledge might create a situation where we sin without even knowing what we have done wrong. "Ignorance of the Law is no excuse."

Pray one for another
