DAILY WALK

Good Morning, it is the Lord's Day. I was with our friend John Shepard this week at the Life Care Unit of Hospice. John is my Uncle and I am so glad he received Christ before his health got so consuming. At present, he is sedated with morphine and kept calm with medication. Hasn't eaten or had fluids in over a week and just continues to weaken. Pray for his sons and Aunt Iris as it is hard to watch the man you were married to for 63 years gradually grow weaker and weaker. A good man that loved people. Our reading today is Isaiah 30 and John 6. In John 6 we have the miracle of the feeding of 5000. Read and memorize John 6:35 and 47. In Isaiah 30 we have the ending of the six judgments upon unbelievers. To divide the Holy Scriptures is the work of the Holy Spirit and in Isaiah, we are moving from present to future and back from verse to verse. We have the prophecy of the people at the time and then we jump to tribulation scriptures and then to Millennial passages and back to their present. Watch verses 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. Not really confusing but moving from prophecy to prophecy as the people refuse God's Word. Verse 15 is so powerfully the Millennium when God shall have brought them to Himself in the tribulation and they enjoy what He would have given them long ago. Worry is never of God and yet we spend so much time in what we call concern over things we cannot change and have no power over. Trust is a better way but as in verse 15, "ye would not". Mr. Spurgen wrote, "Come, my soul, return unto thy rest, and lean thy head upon the bosom of the Lord Jesus."

Pray one for another
