DAILY WALK

Good Morning, Trevor Thomas will be at Peace tonight at 6 for an evening of laughter and fellowship. We need two men at least to meet at the church at 2 today to help him unload his equipment and get set up. Come prepared to have a time of laughter and inspiration. Our reading today is Isaiah 22 and Luke 22. At 2 am this morning I was looking at the fires and destruction in Maui County, Hawaii, and thinking how unprepared any people would be for this kind of devastation. All over the globe, we witness trouble and disaster but very few are turning to God in repentance for the worldwide epidemic of selfishness and worldliness. Isaiah faced this in his day and in chapter 22 speaks of the judgment-burdens on Babylon, Philistia, and Moab. Damascus and Ephraim and all the northern kingdom of Israel will suffer the judgment and Assyria will be the hand of God. God's ways are surely not our ways and His thoughts, not our thoughts. Isaiah would preach but none would listen. Now let us look at Luke 22 and the last days of our Lord upon earth. In verse 31 Satan hath desired to sift you as wheat, Jesus says to Peter. In the Garden of Gethsemane, the betrayal by Judas, Peter denies he is a follower of Jesus, and the rooster crows. Tomorrow I have a message from the Lord that I hope you will be with us in church to hear. I may be preaching only to myself but I believe the message is from God.

Pray one for another and pray for the attendance tonight and tomorrow and the work to fix our broadcast intermission.
