DAILY WALK

Good Morning, did you pray for rain, or did The Father just send in His good pleasure? So many of God's blessings have come without us asking or thanking Him. Please be sure to talk to your Heavenly Father today. Our reading today will be Isaiah 3 and Luke 3. Was Isaiah having a  bad day or was this just his opinion as he speaks so openly about the conditions of the people? This message was definitely to Judah, I doubt they received this message very well. Ezekiel and Zechariah were both prophets and priests. The priests sought to present the people to God and the prophet presented God to men. Chapter 3 presents the turning away of blessings and benefits from the people and rulers of Judah for their arrogance and pride. Look at the description of the oppression of the rulers of Judah and the pride of their women. God will take away in verse one the blessings of bread and water so that all are deprived of the benefit. Chapters 2 and 3 are tied together and should be read together. It is a sad day when God's people provoke the Lord to turn from them because they have turned from Him. Look at verse 16 and see how sin truly is a reproach to the people as well as God. In Luke 3 the prophet's ministry is coming to an end and the mantle is being seen on Messiah the Saviour. John has been faithful to present God to the people and many have come. The prophet Isaiah had sounded of the voice crying in the wilderness. Publicans and soldiers have come but not Herod who lives in adultery with his brother's wife. John is put in prison and the genealogy of Jesus Christ is given. Should you compare the Matthew genealogy and the one in Luke you will find Luke goes from Adam to Abraham while Matthew from Abraham to David.

We pray for our people today and ask you to pray one for another.
