DAILY WALK

It's Here! July has officially come and we look forward to this Sunday and the celebration of July 4th. Come be with us and enjoy the day as we celebrate the founding of our great country. Dinner on the grounds and a great day. Our reading today is Proverbs 31 and Matthew 25. In Proverbs 31 we hear the question " Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." What a blessing to read about the instructions of King Lemuel's Mother for her son. Who is King Lemuel? Suffice it to say we are much in the dark about this but some have thought it to be a name given by Bathsheba for Solomon. Whoever Lemuel is we have good advice about the way to live one's life and the kind of person that would certainly assist a young man in life. In youth would we look for such a young lady or would the tenderness of love be the driving attraction?  The right kind of love from a young lady would certainly propel the principles of the heart to be a helper to her husband in every way and certainly would achieve many of the characteristics found in this virtuous lady as opposed to the wanton figure found elsewhere in the proverbs. "Favour is deceitful, but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. In Matthew 25 we have the kingdom of Heaven principles of the five wise and five foolish virgins. This is followed by the warning " Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." Then comes the distribution of talents and the accounting process of the use of the talents. Notice the closing in verse 46 and the challenge of the use of one's life for God.Oh! God, may we each have a good judgment.Amen!

Pray for soul-winning today and the move of the Luhnows to Missouri. Pray for Brother Jerry Smith and Doug Miller. Pray for our being able to find good housing for Devin and Christina Ogdie and their arranging their move from Texas to North Carolina.
