If we follow the traditions of man and not the Word of God then the top could be true.

If we follow the Word of God.  Wednesday crucifixion (partial day would not count)

                                                  Friday 2

                                                   Friday Night 3

                                                   Saturday 3 until 6pm

                                                   Sunday begins at 6pm. (resurrects before dawn.)

                                                   Jewish Day begins at 6pm. Night 6pm until 6am ( day 6pm until 6am. )

 

A Friday crucifixion does not give the 3 days and 3 nights of Matthew 12:40.

Maybe we should think of Jesus being crucified today and plan our week accordingly. Have you considered the price paid for your soul?
