Duties & Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Drive market penetration and identify new business opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
  • Monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to adapt strategies and maintain competitiveness.

 

2. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and develop training plans to enhance team capabilities.
  • Set clear sales objectives and ensure alignment with overall business goals.

 

3. Key Account and Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners in the region.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally to strengthen trust and loyalty.

 

4. Sales Operations and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, ensuring timely reporting of key metrics to senior management.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales progress, forecasts, and market trends.
  • Identify areas for improvement in sales processes and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.

 

5. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand TP-Link’s market presence in Cape Town and surrounding regions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to promote the TP-Link brand.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and initiatives.

 

6. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Proactively identify risks related to customer relationships or sales operations and implement mitigation strategies.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, business development, or operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a leadership position.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a focus on motivating and developing sales teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of the networking and technology industry is an advantage.
