Introduction

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a Sales Consultant that has arisen at Beier Drawtex Healthcare based in Cape Town. The Sales Consultant will report to the Business Development Manager and will have amongst others, the following duties and responsibilities:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend evening and weekend meetings and Conferences as required.
  • Contributes to team effort by sharing competitor activity and product details as soon as these have been uncovered.
  • Keeps management informed of market activity by accurately and timeously reporting and submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and territory marketing feedback.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Meets and exceeds sales targets as determined by Sales Manager.
  • Monitors competitor activity by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Plans to meet and exceed the minimum customer call rates as set by the Sales Manager
  • Plans to visit Key Opinion Leaders on a monthly basis and ensures that regular Key Opinion Leader Meeting s are held on the territory.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on territory, customers, competitors and sales.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; reporting to management. Serves customers by selling products; meeting customer needs, within their designated territory.
  • Will be required to learn the Company Products and become a Product Specialist for the customers
  • Will be responsible for the Launch, Promotion and Sales within the territory to all Disciplines of Medical Personnel within Private Sector (private hospitals, private practitioners, distributors) in the Territory.
  • Will be responsible for Training all Medical Personnel on the usage and correct application of the product.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification. Eg. Nursing Diploma, BSc Degree
